My brother's pretty hooked on his online games lately that my father worried that he might not reach his maximum potential once he graduates. He is set to graduate this March and although he has passing grades - he does not have awesome grades.
All his time and money are focused on games tuning us all out with his wireless headset whenever he's in his room. He only goes out to eat.
Our parents never really pressure us to be on top each time but they would also want to see us strive for it and try to make it to the honor roll. I lost by a few points and I can never really forget that. Although I know for certain why I did not make it the honor roll - I enjoyed my 5th year too much. I went out every Friday's and Saturday's and I met my hubby that time - but all is well because I married the love of my life.
Back to my brother - my dad was thinking of giving him a Nintendo Wii for a graduation present and my mom strongly opposed to it. Not until she saw how awesome the Nintendo Wii is! I mean its game plus exercise, right?
Browsing online, I saw what I would like if I were my brother! Two words, IPOD Touch. My sister recently bought one for herself and Oz and I had fun watching crystal clear video streaming and games.
How I wish!
