My Baby's {Given} Name

{JOSHUA XANDER}

Josh, my husband wanted our child to have the initials of J.V. (Josh and Vanessa). Since I was having a hard time finding the perfect name which starts with the letter V and I was really loving the name Xander, he agreed with that.

Nothing really special about the name itself, I just really thought it sounded cute. Hehehe. In Hebrew the meaning of the name Joshua is Jehovah : Jehovah is generous. Jehovah saves. In the Old Testament, Joshua was chosen to succeed Moses as leader of the Israelites for their journey to the Promised Land. Joshua for me is a good name meaning he saves and he is a leader.

Xander on the other hand which comes from the name Alexander from the Greek name Alexandros, meaning "defender of men."

So you see, both names match perfectly with each others meaning. Ozzy is just a nickname made way before he was even conceived, My sister coined the name and no-its not because of Ozzy Osbourne. Its an inside joke actually.
