We should all be careful when posting pictures of our children because the reality is there are many child molesters out there prowling and victimizing the young and helpless. Kids are their primary target because they are easy to lure. I've seen enough shows and news about how these offenders take pictures of kids naked, they lure them by being a friend and giving them treats. Some even go to the extreme by being a friend to the family. Some kids just keep quiet for fear of being harmed, some just don't make it and are never seen again by their parents.
Are we really safe from these people?
Does our gated subdivision shield us from these kind of people? I don't think so. That's why as a parent I always see to it to know where my son goes in the afternoons when they go around the subdivision. I ask who his friends are and where they usually go.
Good thing, there are sites which offers services to Track Local Sex Offenders. This way, parent's can monitor if a sex offender lives in their area or nearby. These are updated offender reports that can be very beneficial information to keep our families safe.
