Fun|Fierce|Fabulous blog. I hate that I never had a proper goodbye. One day, the site was down and it never came back up. Dad said he's not going to renew the hosting service because #1 we have a .com already and #2 their hosting was not very good. It was like a baby to me because it was the first self-hosted blog and that it had the best layout out of all my blogs. (my opinion!)
Anyway, I haven't even backed-up my recent posts so being non-techie I have no idea if I can still retrieve those. Lesson learned. I should learn some more about maintaining my own self hosted blog so that in the future I would not depend too much on dad or my online friends for help. However, for now I don't have time so I'll just stick to my 3 current and active blogs for some sideline moolah.
However I will keep in mind those sites being suggested by my friends that are excellent in website hosting. Who knows? I may get laid off from work (Heaven forbid!!!) and I need to find work elsewhere. I would really still love to work from home as opposed to working outside in a call center or in my field - engineering!
I've read a lot of reviews, ratings and blogs for web hosting so that I can more or less get an idea on what is in store for me if I get hosting on my own without my father's help. It looks really promising with some hosting sites offering affordable monthly web hosting + free domain name. Got me thinking really.
Should I add a 4th site?
