If you haven't finished your Christmas shopping yet, then I pity you. Tsk. The line in the malls is a nightmare!!! Parking space is hard to find even when you go during the first hour. Stocks are easily sold out and some of the prices of the items dramatically shot up. You can clearly see in the faces of the shoppers - panic, fatigue, joy, annoyance and everything and anything in between. This and the fact that the checkout counter takes forever. There was one time when I was paying, something went wrong with the stores' receipt printer. Everyone was giving me the stink eye seemingly asking,"What's taking this girl forever??". Since I was in a hurry too I just told the sales lady I'd come back for my receipt in an hour. Gosh, this is supposed to be the season of giving - but if giving makes us all grumpy then what's the point in that?
I am just glad I finished my shopping already. Although I was hoping to have bought something for myself - I stopped myself and thought of the many other things I can make use of the money (i.e. Jacob's shots scheduled next month). Oh well, I being a Mother first have to make sacrifices.
