Credit Card Guy

Growing up, we never really had money. We had just enough to live comfortably. It was simple life.

We had one TV, no cable, one car, a few toys, new clothes only on birthday's and Christmas. Nonetheless, we led a happy and simple life. I want that with my kids, I don't want them to grow up thinking they can have everything they ask for.

My point is simple. I want them to know the value of hard-earned cash. I know someone in debt right now. Let's call this friend, CreditCardGuy. CCG was given a credit card by his parents for emergency purposes only. In no time, CCG was using it for shoes, saying that it's a shoe emergency because it was discounted from 3,600 to 2,100 and it would be a sin to pass up a good shoe.

When he started working for a BPO, CCG got the taste of a high paying job early on in life. He was spending and charging like crazy. His credit limit went up and he got an additional card. Now he has 2 cards with high credit limit. Both overused and abused. One thing led to another....and now, let's just say CCG is in deep mess. He knows it but has no idea how to ix it. Where the heck will he get the money to pay his debts? I have intervened and nagged him to death. CCG knows he has to pay up, but how??? He had decided to come clean and ask the help of his parents so that he can pay up and then start a clean slate. I also mentioned credit repair services to him so that he can ask for loan assistance.

I really hope everything turn out okay for CCG. He's a good guy who made bad decisions along the way and I hate to see his life being ruined by bad credit and loans.
